We are heartbroken to share that Erika Yeates, Dean of Academic Affairs @ Lydian Palo Alto, was struck by a vehicle (hit-and-run) in San Francisco while walking with her partner on the evening of Friday, December 5, 2025. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment of multiple fractures, lacerations, and a concussion with concomitant bleeding in her brain.

In light of Erika's prognosis, and what may turn out to be a very long stay in the hospital, the family has indicated that they will welcome any and all financial support right now to offset medical costs and aid in the recovery process. In the same vein, we have received so many wonderful messages from parents offering to contribute, so Lydian has decided (with the family's blessing) that a supportive path can include this GoFundMe page to help elicit resources on Erika's behalf.

Erika is a vital part of our Lydian community. She is the heart of the Palo Alto campus and, throughout her years at Lydian, has touched many lives - students, families, colleagues, faculty, and staff alike. She is a guiding light and a force to be reckoned with. Let's Rally for Erika and show our support as a Lydian community!
