Rally for Elend

What began as a typical day for the Patman family quickly turned into a journey no family could ever imagine. On June 7th, Elend was taken to urgent care after experiencing severe headaches. His condition rapidly declined, and he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. While in the ambulance, Elend went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated. After a series of tests, a tumor was discovered, and doctors performed emergency surgery.

The Patman family then received devastating news — the tumor that had been removed was confirmed to be malignant.

Elend and his family have been a beloved part of the 1904 Baseball Club and Mira Mesa Little League family. Elend has always shown heart, grit, and resilience both on and off the field — and now, he’s facing the biggest challenge of his life.

The road ahead will be incredibly tough, with extended hospital stays, intensive treatments, and lost time at work. Let’s come together to show this family they are not alone.
