Help Douglas Griffin Fight Stage IV Stomach Cancer – Critical Medication & Medical Expenses
Hello everyone, my name is Shelly Moore, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for someone very special to me and many others: Douglas Griffin.
Douglas has always been the most optimistic, positive person I know. No matter what life throws at him, he greets it with a smile, a joke, and an unbreakable spirit. He’s the kind of guy who lights up a room, lifts everyone around him, and never complains—even now, when he’s fighting the battle of his life.
In late 2021,Douglas was diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer (also known as gastric cancer). The news hit like a thunderbolt, but true to form, Douglas has approached this with incredible courage and hope. He’s undergoing treatment, staying strong, and determined to keep fighting every single day.
The challenge him and his family are facing right now is overwhelming: his insurance will not cover the critical medications he needs to continue his fight effectively. These include targeted therapies and potentially immunotherapy drugs that are essential for managing advanced stomach cancer.
Him and his family are already dealing with mounting medical bills, travel cost, supportive care, and the everyday costs that come with this diagnosis. Douglas and his family are doing everything they can, but the gap is too wide without help.
This is why I’m turning to our community—friends, family, coworkers, and kind strangers who believe in second chances and the power of coming together.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• Life-extending medications not covered by insurance
• Related medical expenses (doctor visits, scans, supportive treatments)
• Travel expenses
• Basic living costs so that he can focus on healing instead of financial stress
Douglas is still here, still smiling, still inspiring us all with his positive attitude. He deserves every chance possible to keep fighting—and we want to give that to him.
