Rally for Doug: Fund His Essential Surgery
Donation protected
I'd like to introduce you to Doug (and his son River)
After a long and uncertain medical journey, Doug finally received a diagnosis. For a time, it looked like cancer—but thankfully, it turned out to be Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). While not cancerous, BPH can mimic many of the same symptoms and has severely affected Doug's quality of life. To prevent permanent complications, Doug urgently needs surgery.
Doug does have insurance, but the required $7,000 co-pay just to begin treatment is a huge burden—and unfortunately, one he simply can’t manage on his own. So now, we’re coming together as a community to help him get the care he needs.
Before any of us knew what he was going through, Doug began selling his most valued possessions in the hope of funding his treatment alone. But Doug shouldn’t have to face this by himself. With your help, we want to ensure he can keep what he has left—and more importantly, get healthy and back to living life.
If you’re able to contribute, every dollar makes a difference. Our goal is $8,500, which will cover the surgery co-pay and related expenses like transportation, medications, follow-up appointments, and support for his family during recovery. Anything raised beyond this will go directly to his household to help them stay afloat during this difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to read Doug’s story—and for any support you’re able to give. Let’s help him get back on his feet and back to being the amazing father, friend, and coworker we all know him to be.
