Rally for Donny and His Loving Family
Donation protected
❤️An Update from the family, on 4/4/25 early morning - God called Donny home.
Please continue to share and donate to help with all expenses said before plus all that comes with funeral expenses and taking all the financial weight off Bonita for a while. They want to thank all for continued prayers and support!
My name is Holly, my husband James and I met Don with his family during his cancer battle. He and my husband were going through transplant therapy at the same time. We only live 30 miles apart but we met at Mayo and immediately connected and we became instant friends. Unfortunately under tough circumstances but we were all glad we had each other since Don and James seemed to have almost identical battles. We spent many days in the hospital together when they both happened to be sick at the same time or getting treatments at the same time! We praise God for uniting us all! We personally know how all the little expenses add up quickly! So I offered to create this so the family doesn’t have to think of all those extra costs coming at them. Please donate if you are able.
Donny Cash is a young 62 years old. Previous owner of Grand Forks Taxi service before he retired due to his decline in health due to cancer. When he was able he loved spring when he could pull his Harley out and cruise. He loved to go to their cabin on LOW to fish!
And as many of you know Donny was a family and neighborly man! He would spend any time and any money he could on his kids and grandkids especially. And helping others! Donny does as our Lord asks, “Love thy neighbor as thyself” Donny did so but more! If there is something anyone needed physically, financially, emotionally, Donny would be right there for you, even if he was struggling with his battle, he still gave it his all!
So let us all now rally together to help the Cash family by donating financially, little or big, all amounts are much appreciated!
Donny has been in a cancer battle since 2020. Starting with finding cancer in his testicle, lymphoma and brain involvement. He’s had many ups and downs with it and usually has beat what ever battle he faced. Whether it be his stem cell transplant for the blood cancer, BYTE therapy, radiation for brain masses, blood and platelet transfusions, high dose chemo, falls and so much more he has battled through!
But now is the deepest he’s been with it. His body stopped responding to chemo! Don has become so weak, can’t walk, transfer, has a lot of confusion, not able to talk much, do daily cares, hard to sit up so lays in bed much of the days. He’s also a diabetic, sugars are hard to keep controlled at this time too.
They’ve been told maybe days left. Hospice has moved into the home. They are helping keep Donny as comfortable as possible. He has been given some morphine, as well as helping control his anxiety.
He is surrounded by family. They are so grateful for the meals being brought and all the prayers!
As we all know times like this are hard on all and a GoFundMe account was offered to help offset the daily living expenses, medical debt, utilities and anything else so that Bonita and the kids don’t have to worry about any expense right now and can put all their thought on their rock/dad/husband/dad/grandpa!
Donny and Bonita along with their kids; Melissa (Don DeCamp), John (Tasha) Cash, Grand kids; Nicklas, Alexis, Jaxson, Weston Thank you all so very much more than they can even express right now!
