On August 4, 2025, every mother’s worst nightmare became my reality. My son, Diondre, was riding his motorcycle to work when he was struck by a pickup truck. In one instant, his world—and ours—was turned upside down.

He suffered a broken femur and tibia, requiring emergency surgery and titanium rods in his leg. The pain is immense, and the road to recovery will be long. He’s just begun to take steps with a walker, but it will be months before he can return to work or fully care for his family.

And his family needs him. Diondre has a loving wife and a beautiful 3-year-old daughter who doesn’t fully understand why her daddy can’t pick her up right now. While he fights to heal, the bills keep coming—mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, and medical expenses that insurance doesn’t fully cover. The loss of his income has placed an incredible financial strain on them during an already overwhelming time.
