Help David Fight Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer

My sister’s fiancée (who is truly my brother-in-law), David, is one of the most selfless, kind-hearted people you’ll ever meet. For years, he’s been the kind of person who’s there for everyone else — family, friends, and neighbors. Now, he needs our help.

David and his loving fiancée, Jillian, have spent the past four years building their small construction company from the ground up. Through hard work and long hours, they’ve grown something meaningful together — not just a business, but a life filled with purpose, pride, and a shared dream.

About a year ago, David went to the emergency room for dehydration and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. What followed was a long and uncertain year of monitoring and medical tests. Although his blood work and biopsy were clear, inflammation remained in the tail of his pancreas. He was under close observation with scans every three months and the option of a preventative surgery on the table.

As of June 9th, the latest scan showed no concerning changes — in fact, the inflammation was improving. Doctors felt confident enough to delay further action, scheduling the next scan for three months later.

But on July 11th, everything changed.

David began feeling ill at work and went to the emergency room. A blockage in his colon led to emergency surgery — and during that operation, doctors discovered what no one had seen coming: pancreatic cancer that had spread to his liver. Stage 4.

The surgical team at Pennsylvania Hospital immediately took action. They removed the tail of his pancreas, his spleen, part of his stomach, small intestine, adrenal gland, and repaired the colon blockage. They also burned two visible tumors on his liver. We are incredibly grateful for the skill and dedication of that team — David’s recovery from surgery has been on track, and we are staying hopeful.

The next step is six months of chemotherapy, but he must wait until his abdomen has fully healed before he can begin treatment — likely within the next few weeks.

Right now, David is homebound. Jillian, his fiancée and business partner, has become his full-time caregiver. With both of them unable to work, and an unknown road ahead filled with medical bills and day-to-day living costs, we’re asking for your support.

Jillian and David would never ask for this kind of help on their own. But they are deeply thankful for the strong community of friends, family, and extended support that surrounds them.

Please consider donating if you’re able. Any amount helps — and if you’re not in a position to give financially, sharing this page would mean the world to us.

Let’s rally around David and Jillian the way they’ve always shown up for others. Your support will help ease the burden of this unexpected fight, so they can focus on healing and hope.

Thank you kindly.
