I’m Lisa. This is my daddy. My daddy that the Lord gave us but I would’ve hand picked him myself. His name is David Everett. A Go Fund Me is not what anyone wants to create and he definitely didn’t want me to but I felt lead to so As a community and family and friends we can help.

Praying for Help to Support My Daddy’s Home During His Fight

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. My daddy has always been the strong one — the provider, the protector, the one who showed up no matter what. He’s been a father not just to me, but to kids he didn’t have to raise, and he did it all with tough love and a quiet strength that shaped us into who we are.

Even in his hardest moments, there was always love in Daddy’s hands — whether he was fixing something around the house, showing us how to stand tall in life, or just being there with that steady presence. He’s the kind of man who never asked for anything. But right now, I’m asking — not begging — but praying.

He was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 lung and brain cancer. Not the news any of us wanted to hear. The doctors tell us it’s treatable — and we’re holding onto that — but only God knows. Through it all, Daddy keeps saying, “I’m not looking for sympathy, only prayers. I’ve led a blessed life, and however much I have left will be a blast.”

That’s just who he is — faithful, funny, and full of heart, even now.

Because he can no longer work and my stepmom has had to stay home full time to care for him, the financial burden is growing. They’ve always done so much for others — now it’s our turn to try and ease the weight. I started this GoFundMe not because we expect anything, but because we believe in the power of community and prayer.

Every dollar will go directly toward keeping their home going — paying bills, covering essentials, and giving them one less thing to worry about as they walk this hard road together.

If you can give, thank you. If not, please pray and share. We believe in miracles, in kindness, and in the strength that comes when people come together for someone who’s always given his all.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for standing with us.
