We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support for our beloved Danielle, who had been suffering from issues going on with swallowing since November that led to severe malnutrition and a vitamin deficiency that caused her to be diagnosed with Korsakoff Syndrome. Korsakoff Syndrome is a neurological disorder caused by a lack of essential vitamins and nutrients, and it has significantly impacted Danielle's ability to thrive.

Danielle is an incredibly kind, vibrant person who has always been there for those she loves. Her two young boys mean the world to her. However, Danielle's condition has deteriorated, and she is struggling to manage.

Her Aunt Rhonda, Uncle Shawn, cousin Liz, and many other family members and friends have rallied together to make sure she receives the best care possible, but the costs associated with medical bills and other necessary treatments not covered by her Medicaid are overwhelming, and they need your help.

Prayer for the Sick

Almighty and merciful God, we humbly come before you, seeking your healing grace for those who are ill. We pray for Danielle, that you would touch them with your loving hand and restore them to full health and strength. May your healing power flow into their bodies, easing their pain and bringing comfort to their souls. Grant them patience and resilience during this difficult time, and may they find hope and peace in your unwavering love. We also pray for the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who are tending to them, that you would guide their hands and grant them wisdom and compassion. In your tender mercy, heal the sick, comfort the afflicted, and bring glory to your name. Amen.

Update 4/23/25:

One of the biggest things I’ve learned through this journey is just how constant—and expensive—medical care can be for someone in Danielle’s situation. Thanks to the support we've received so far, we've been able to cover essential items including:

Looking ahead, to keep Danielle in physical therapy—something critical for her recovery and the possibility of walking again—there’s a $120 evaluation fee, and each week of therapy costs $405. This covers three 45-minute sessions per week. Insurance does not cover this therapy and it is critical to keeping Danielle in the best possible physical condition to be able to one day walk and not need the wheelchair.
