Rally for Dan Kenney's Recovery and Care

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out as Dan Kenney’s sister to share an urgent update and ask for your support during a really difficult time for our family.

Dan is currently in the hospital due to a serious infection near or around his spine—just months after undergoing major back surgery earlier this year. What was already a tough recovery has taken a turn, and he’s now facing another extended hospital stay, along with intensive antibiotics and additional pain management.

As you can imagine, this unexpected setback has added a significant financial strain. Between his earlier surgery, the current hospitalization, and the ongoing care he’ll need, Dan is facing a heavy load of medical bills—some of which are already piling up, with more on the horizon.

Dan’s not someone who likes to ask for help, but right now, he truly needs it. I’m hoping friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters will rally around him to ease the financial pressure so he can focus on healing.

We’ll continue to post updates as we have them. In the meantime, any contribution—whether financial, spiritual, or emotional—means the world to us. Please keep Dan in your prayers and send him all the healing thoughts you can muster.

Sunday morning update. he’s in better spirits and got a little rest they will be moving out of ICU as long as the day is good.

Wednesday (6/18). Dan is improving slowly. They put the PIC line in yesterday. He will have that for about six weeks. He will continue to be on blood clot medication for about 4 - 6 months. This is a long journey. We are hoping he can get home soon. Possibly by the weekend.

Tuesday (6/24). Dan has been home for a few days. This is going to be a long road. First daily injections of antibiotics to his PIC line. He has several appointments next week as a follow up for pain management and heart specialist.

7/18: Dan has been home for while. Recovery is slow. He still has the PIC line for infection. His mobility is improving but still not able to move downstairs without assistance. Family and friends are helping around the house with yard and dogs. Thanks for your support.
