Rally for Dan Davilla: A Jazz Community Hero

I'm a friend and cohort of one of the loveliest people I've ever known, Dan Davilla. He's not only my friend, but many others' friend in the jazz community of Los Angeles. He needs our help.

Dan's financial position isn't as good as we thought it was, I'm sorry to say. He could really benefit from our help.

Dan has supported us in many ways over the last 10 years. He has financially supported our projects, bought many tickets to our performances, and showed up in person over and over again. He's been kind, humble, and giving... always a kind word, a warm smile, and laughter.

Dan has diabetes and lost his leg about two months ago. He has some other body problems as well, which are quite worrisome at this moment. He's in rehab, but one of his problems(in addition to some major body problems) is that his Medicare is running out.

Many of us know Dan and appreciate him so.

Dan is like a sunny daisy, this guy! He has a positive attitude and is expecting to come out and listen to us again! But we who are close, are extremely worried about him.

I hope, so much, that you will find it in your heart to help. He's helped so many of you out there... with your projects, your GoFundMe's, and with your gigs. He's a lovely, lovely spirit, and really deserves our love and help!

For those of you who don't know Dan personally...if you can find it in your heart to donate to a gem of a human being, for his well-beingness...it would be hugely appreciated!

On Monday, December 16, 2024 we in the L.A. jazz community will be holding a Tribute Fundraiser for Dan at Catalina's Jazz Club. There will be very special guests! We sincerely hope that you can come join us!
