Rally for Dallas: Healing After the Crash

My name is Jade & I’m making this Gofundme on behalf of my 17 year old brother. On Thursday, April 3rd around 7pm my brother Dallas was hit by a truck out of his vehicle. He was a passenger & got out of the car to retrieve trash that flew out the window. While pulled to the side of the road with their hazards on, a van smashed into the truck he was outside of at 60mph, the truck hit Dallas & dragged him for a bit then flung him; the truck (with my brothers step dad inside) was snapped in two & flew 200 feet into an electrical pole. Step dad is okay, bumps, bruises & traumatized.

Dallas suffered the following:

-fractured neck & back

-broken (in two pieces) femur

-broken shoulder

-contusion on his liver

-road rash covering his body including his entire back, all over his scalp & more of his body than not

-several different spots stitched up on his face

-broken & missing teeth

but the worse thing he is suffering from is knowing that no charges are being brought upon the irresponsible & inattentive driver. We are seeking legal action & going after not only the driver but the police department as well.

Any help would be unbelievably helpful as we are not a rich family & as I’m sure you all know; medical bills for injuries this extensive are expensive.

The doctors, nurses & everyone else on his care team was absolutely amazed, puzzled trying to figure out how he is alive. Today, he is out of surgery for his femur & shoulder fixes. He is awake, he is talking- but he is miserable. Please offer any help you can, whether that is shedding light on the situation or donating what you can! Anything is appreciated.
