As some of you may know, my dad was diagnosed with esophageal cancer back in February. He’s undergone four rounds of chemo and had a scheduled surgery June 11th to have part of his esophagus removed where the tumor was. Dad had been discharged the following Sunday after his surgery only to be rushed back down to Portland by ambulance Wednesday morning June 18th due to a leak which caused a very serious infection and to be in a lot of pain. My dad had an emergency surgery Friday afternoon to repair the leak from the previous surgery. At this point we’re unsure when my parents will be able to come home for good. They’ll still have to deal with the follow up appointments in Portland. Everything is all dependent on my dad’s healing and recovery this time. It’s hard being away from home having to deal with this as well as the rising hospital bills and hotel costs. Doing a go fund me isn’t something that had ever crossed my parents minds during this battle. But things are starting to add up quickly along with the stress. I know a lot of you may have just recently helped my sister in her time of need. I’m asking if there’s anything that anyone of you might still be able to do to help ease my parents minds. Every little things is appreciated greatly. Even sending prayers will help. Thank you!
