Rally for Cody's Heart Surgery and Recovery

Today's the day. Cody's surgery will begin at 10am. Obviously, many factors will enter into the equation concerning how long it will take. It's going to be a long day at Duke hospital. We feel blessed to have a renowned cardiac unit handling this and have confidence Cody will come through it with the same resolve he shows in all he does. Thank you so much for your love and support. I'm so blessed to have this community around me.

As many of you already know, Cody's surgery, scheduled for today, has been postponed. As hard as this is for all of us, it's especially tough on Cody right now. I can't imagine gearing up for a major surgery like the one he is scheduled to have and having it bumped without an indication of when it's going to be rescheduled. This had nothing to do with Cody or his condition. The cardiology team received a donor heart for a young kid who needed a heart transplant. We are, of course, so happy for that young child. Please keep Cody in your thoughts as he is now being asked to wait for an unknown date in the future.
