Rally for Coach Frank Ganter's Recovery

Hello everyone, this is Carlos Restrepo reaching out to the Long Island Wrestling Family in hopes that you could join my effort in helping a long-standing friend and pillar of our wrestling community.

Frank Ganter has been a wrestling coach and mentor for 15 years at Newfield HS on the JV and Varsity levels. Throughout his tenure, he has coached a few champions and some formidable squads on the wrestling mats, but his impact and contributions outside of the wrestling room are what his legacy is all about. As physically big as this man is, he has an even bigger heart, and this statement can be echoed by everyone who really knows him and even more so by the countless student-athletes he has taken under his wing to help and support throughout his coaching career.

Over the last few months, Frank has been dealing with some serious health issues that required surgery and ongoing treatment that affects his daily routines. These circumstances have prevented Frank from working the 2-3 jobs that he normally handles to make ends meet. Through these struggles, Frank continues to be there for his family, friends, and his wrestling student-athletes and does it with a smile.

I know that Frank is a man of character who wants to earn every dollar in his pocket, but the truth is that he already earned the help we are all about to deliver. Another thing I'm sure of is how a real community like ours recognizes and respects real brothers like Coach Frank Ganter.
