Charlotte has many restaurants, but only one Artisan’s Palate — a place where food, art, music, and community come together in the most beautiful way. Over the past six years, chef/owner Christa Csoka has poured her heart, talent, and life savings into creating an inclusive space that uplifts women, supports the LGBTQIA+ community, and celebrates the diverse flavors and stories that make our city extraordinary.

Today, Christa needs our help. I have been a customer for years and consider her a friend. She told me of their struggles and I knew we needed to do something to help.

Who Is Christa?

A graduate at the top of her class from the French Culinary Institute, Christa trained under culinary legends like Jacques Pépin and Daniel Boulud. Her journey has taken her to many prestigious kitchens in New York City, Chicago and Austin before making her mark here in Charlotte.

Each and every dish she creates carries global inspiration wrapped in comfort, crafted with the finest local, fresh, and organic ingredients. Her classical French training meets Southern soul — and Charlotte has fallen in love with the flavors she brings to life.

The Artisan’s Palate: More Than a Restaurant

From day one, Christa envisioned a place where everyone felt seen, valued, and celebrated. The Artisan’s Palate became exactly that: a gathering place where food tells a story and strangers become community. Christa has built something rare — a restaurant that feeds both the body and the soul.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Like many independently owned restaurants, Artisan’s Palate is facing financial challenges that threaten its ability to continue serving our community. Rising costs, economic shifts, and the pressure facing small businesses have placed Christa in a position where she needs the support of the community she has always championed.
