Rally for Charlie's Post-Surgery Recovery
Donation protected

Hey y’all, I’m Charlie. I’m a local bartender here in Savannah. A couple of years ago, I developed a small hernia and decided to just wear the safety belt to help keep it under wraps until I was able to get the surgery to fix it. Working in the service industry, it’s very hard to come across health insurance, so this hernia repair surgery is completely out of pocket. Believe it or not, insurance would cost more than paying out of pocket.
With that being said, I finally got the surgery done and I am on the way to recovery, but I am now not able to work until fully healed. (I tried to work on 1/5, just five days after, and was unable to complete more than two hours of my 12-hour shift.) I really need some help so that I can recover(1-2weeks) and come back and be the bartender that everybody knows me to be. Any help is greatly appreciated and I thank you all for your time. Even if you are unable to donate, just sharing would mean the world to me. Thank you all again very, very much ❤️
update- I just wanted to reach out and thank everybody so very much for their kindness and generosity. I was never expecting to even reach the goal. Let alone to do it in less than a day. You guys are amazing and I have been greatly humbled. I can’t wait to get back to work and see all yalls smiling faces. Thank you for gifting me the time I need to get back I won’t let any of you down.
