Chad Gallyon is a dad of two, a beloved teacher and coach at Troutman Middle School. He has been a positive influence in our community for decades. Through his coaching, Chad has touched countless families, mentoring athletes and supporting them both on and off the field.
In January of this year, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 adenocarcinoma esophageal cancer. He began chemotherapy at the end of February and will undergo a difficult surgery to reconstruct his esophagus and stomach over the summer. Several more rounds of chemotherapy will follow, making for a costly and challenging recovery.
Chad is known for always offering a helping hand — whether it’s mowing a neighbor’s lawn, helping someone move, or stepping in wherever support is needed. He consistently pours into those around him and shows up for his community without hesitation. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
April is Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to rally around Chad! As he continues this fight, please continue to pray for Chad. Your support is greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping Chad and his family navigate the tough days ahead.
Please share on as many platforms as possible to get the word out to our community.
