We are starting this campaign for my mother-in-law, Carrie Faglie, who has been recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. She had been struggling for a while with feeling unwell and was taken to the emergency room in Fredericksburg on Saturday, July 19th by her husband, Jessie. Upon getting to the hospital, they thought she might have had a stroke and began further testing. The testing revealed a golf ball size tumor in the right side of her brain. She has been transferred to a hospital in San Antonio and is under the care of a neurologist who is possibly going to be performing surgery on her to remove the tumor next week. They will be assessing her heart to make sure she is healthy enough and if they are able to do it, they will do the surgery and will also biopsy to check for cancer. If cancer is found, additional medical care will be needed.
The costs associated with her care—including surgeries, specialist consultations, hospital stays, and medications—are overwhelming. This campaign will help alleviate the financial burden so Carrie and the rest of the family can focus on her recovery.
We are incredibly grateful for any help you can offer, whether through a donation or by sharing her story with others. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity and for keeping Carrie in your thoughts.
