Camille. Dancing queen, human glitter cannon of joy, life of the party, lover of Jesus and everyones favorite Sais (sorry David). If you know her you love her and now is the time to show up for her! For the last three years, Camille has been living with an extremely aggressive case of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). Her illness has given her extremely limited ability to engage with family and friends as she is effectively bedridden. She is unable to engage in reading, listening to music, watching tv and wears headphones all the time because external stimuli worsens her condition. Her rockstar husband and family have been rallying around her with the same fierce love she has always shown everyone else and Camille herself maintains a level of hopefulness that is only greater evidence of her deep faith.
Recently, Camille has engaged in some very promising medical treatments that she has responded to positively. Unfortunately, because the world of insurance is a bureaucratic nightmare of epic proportions (another rant for another time), these treatments are not covered. Each treatment costs $2,000, and she will require at least two of them. Our goal is to raise $8,000. $4,000 to cover these specific procedures, plus an additional $4,000 to help the family with ongoing medical costs.
