My name is Andy Lierman, and I am both a friend and colleague of Camren Harris. I first met Camren during his time at Kearney High School, where I had the privilege of coaching him as part of the football staff. Fast forward several years, and it’s been an honor to now call him Coach Harris—an integral part of our Liberty North Football Staff and a dedicated teacher at Ridgeview Elementary.
I’ve also had the joy of knowing Cam’s wife, Aubrie, since her days as a student at Shoal Creek Elementary, where I got to know her and her family. Today, Aubrie is not only a passionate educator in the Liberty School District, but she also happens to be my own child’s teacher this year—and the impact she has on her students, including mine, is nothing short of extraordinary.
Together, Camren and Aubrie are a remarkable couple—devoted educators, mentors, and role models who give endlessly to those around them. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or out in the community, their kindness and dedication are felt by everyone they meet.
Unfortunately, they’ve recently encountered a difficult season in life and are in need of some support as they face this challenge. As someone who has been lucky to know them both for many years, I can say without hesitation that they are the kind of people who show up for others—now it's our turn to show up for them.
If you're able, I encourage you to support Camren and Aubrie in any way you can—whether it’s through donations, meals, encouragement, or simply sharing their story.
Let’s rally around these incredible people and help lift them up, just as they have done for so many of us.
Here is a note from their family:
Dear family, friends, and compassionate hearts,
We present to you a heartfelt appeal accompanied by hope — hope that humanity’s kindness still holds strong, even in the face of life’s cruelest trials.
Camren and Aubrie are a couple whose love has been their light through every joy and hardship. But now, that light is flickering under the shadow of a devastating diagnosis: Camren has been diagnosed with aggressive Stage 3 cancer.
They are now facing the whirlwind of hospital rooms, painful procedures, and the exhausting cycles of chemotherapy that are slowly draining not just Camren’s strength, but the couple’s financial stability. Aubrie will be the main caregiver for Camren, a role she has taken on without hesitation, because that’s what love is.
But love alone can’t pay medical bills and unexpected expenses. It can’t cover the cost of life-saving treatments and expenses that insurance will not cover.
They never imagined asking for help like this, but cancer doesn’t care, and it just takes health, energy, time, and security.
Today, we ask you: if you have the means, even just a little, please help this couple who are fighting for something most of us take for granted — time together, hope for recovery, and the chance to breathe without fear of what tomorrow will bring. No gift is too small. And if you can’t give financially, please lift Camren and Aubrie up in prayer.
Camren and Aubrie are holding onto each other, praying that their love and faith can carry them through what no one should have to face alone.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, for caring, and for giving what you can.
With hope and deep gratitude
