If you work in the restaurant industry, you know Callie Evergreen, or you’ve felt the impact of her work.

As Editor of FSR Magazine at WTWH Media, Callie has spent her career telling the stories of restaurants and the people who power them. She’s one of the biggest champions of this industry—a connector, a cheerleader, and someone who always shows up for others.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

Earlier this year, Callie and her husband Luke made a leap of faith. They used their savings to support Luke’s dream of becoming a pilot—investing in his flight school with the goal of building a future together where he could take off in a new career and help support their life as a couple.

But just as that chapter was beginning, everything changed.

Luke suffered a sudden heart issue that required emergency open-heart surgery. He now has a mechanical heart valve and a long road to recovery ahead. Their savings had already gone toward flight school in anticipation of Luke starting work right away, and since he can't for several more months, the bills are piling up.

And if that weren’t enough, a severe storm knocked a tree onto their car, leaving them with costly damage and an unexpected $500 insurance deductible—just one more blow during an already tough season.

Through all of this, Callie has been a rock, supporting Luke’s healing, juggling work and caregiving, and doing it all with strength, grace, and deep gratitude.

But even the strongest among us need support sometimes.
