Hello,
The management team at NorBella of Rogers is coming together to support our incredible team member and dear friend, Caitlin Tamte. Caitlin is currently facing mounting medical expenses, and we want to do everything we can to help ease this burden.
Caitlin's Story:
"Recently, I received abnormal laboratory test results, prompting the triage team to emergency page my Oncologist. Upon meeting with him last week, I was informed that my leukemia has relapsed, with over 87% of my blood being cancerous. The prior chemotherapy treatments were no longer effective, and I have been diagnosed with a mutation, rendering certain cancer drugs ineffective. Having exhausted four out of the five available treatment options, I am left with one remaining choice. If this proves unsuccessful, I will require a bone marrow transplant at the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota. Due to the lack of blood related relatives, finding a donor may be challenging, necessitating a donor of Korean descent for compatibility testing. I am scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy, where a small portion of the pelvic bone will be extracted for additional testing. A reassessment in 30 days will determine my tolerance to this more aggressive chemotherapy treatment, informing the next steps. I continue to work full time; however, my medical bills and medical expenses continue to grow. All funds raised will contribute to my medical bills and expenses. Thank you for your continued support and generosity during this challenging time."
We want Caitlin to be able to work when she feels well enough—not because she has to. Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference. And if giving financially isn’t possible, there are still powerful ways you can help:
Keep Caitlin in your thoughts and prayers as she walks through this incredibly difficult journey.
If you're of Korean descent, please consider getting tested to see if you might be a match for a bone marrow transplant. Right now, Caitlin does not have a donor, and a match would need to share a similar genetic background. You could literally save her life. If you’re open to exploring this, please reach out to Kassie Eull or Caitlin Tamte on Facebook.
Share this message to help us spread the word far and wide.
Thank You!
