Longtime Woodmont CC tennis professional Madison “Butch” Porter passed away on March 24, 2022 after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife Mary and three children.

There were massive costs for his care, beyond what insurance or his family were able to cover. Please join us in showing the Porter Family how much we - the Woodmont Community and beyond - care for them all. Funds will be used at Mary’s discretion. This is a personal appeal from Betsy and me and is not affiliated with the country club.

Several of Butch's relatives, including Mary, have shared with us how grateful they are for this outpouring of support from the community. Butch was, in the words of his dear friend Bruce Lipka, "rock solid" and "one in a million". May the memory of Butch Porter be for a blessing.
