GoFundMe for Bryan's Medical Expenses and Recovery

My brother, Bryan Treude, was recently diagnosed with Pulmonary Artery Intimal Sarcoma, which is an extremely rare form of cancer. This type of cancer often mimics a pulmonary embolism (blood clot) both clinically and radiographically, leading doctors to initially diagnose it as such. After multiple hospital transfers, X-rays, scans, and a biopsy, they were able to confirm his diagnosis. The large mass is located in his lung and very close to his heart, causing damage to the right side of his heart. He will receive open-heart surgery on January 7th to reconstruct the right side of his heart and to remove as much of the tumor as possible. Once his heart is strong enough, he will receive chemotherapy to reduce, and eventually remove, the remaining tumor.

Bryan has been in multiple hospitals since December 19th and is now receiving excellent care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Given how incredibly expensive healthcare is in the United States, you can imagine the kind of astronomical bills with which he and Pat will be dealing. The last thing he should have to worry about at a time like this is going into debt because of a medical situation that is beyond his control.
