Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. My dear loved one, Brianna, is about to undergo 2 nerve-racking and crucial spinal surgeries. The first one August 30th and the second one September 12th that we hope will finally bring relief to the immense pain she has been suffering through. This procedure involves live wires running outside her back for two weeks, a daunting and painful process. During this time, Brianna will be out of work and I will too so she can have the proper help during her recovery, which is devastating for her as she is also a main provider for her household.

Brianna is one of the most selfless and giving people I know. She has always been there for others, giving until she physically and mentally can’t anymore. Her stubborn heart refuses to ask for help, which is why I’m doing it for her. We have saved up what we could, and will continue to work and save up until her surgeries it’s not enough to cover her rent, groceries, gas, or even some takeout food during this challenging time.

We need to come together for Brianna. She’s a fighter, but even the strongest warriors need support. The travel costs, the stay in Portland before and after the procedure, and the long healing process ahead are overwhelming. Brianna’s father, who she inherited her stubbornness from, is no longer with us (May he rest in peace 4-18-17), having been wrongfully taken from her and this world. If he were still here, things might be different. But now, we must rally around Brianna and show her that she is not alone.

This procedure is a long journey, both physically and mentally. The fight for relief and the hope for positive news in the coming year is a daily battle for her. Watching her in such agonizing pain, willing to endure this surgery for just a chance at relief, is heart-wrenching. She needs our help now more than ever.
