Please help us raise money for Riley and Brandon to help cover medical costs related to the birth of their beautiful baby boy and his NICU stay requiring extensive care and treatment. According to statistics, the average cost of a NICU stay can range anywhere from $3, 000-$20,000 per day. Riley and Brandon have taken off work in order to be there and support their son, so we would love to help them out as they are already stressed and worried every second of every day.
Here is their story….
Baby boy Brooks was born on 5/15/25 at only 34 weeks. Riley’s water broke early and off to the hospital they went. Excited to welcome their baby boy into this world, they never could have thought it would be so hard. Brooks was stubborn (just like mom and dad), he was positioned facing up which was making it really hard for mom. Doctors tried multiple times to flip Brooks over. After laboring all night, Riley pushed for almost 3 hours and then got rushed into a C-section. Brooks was born at 12:46pm. Right away, doctors noticed something was wrong. Brooks had significant bruising on his forehead, back of head, and left side of his head. Quickly, Brooks was treated and rushed to the NICU. Brooks suffered from a subgaleal hemorrhage which is a rare and life threatening condition, resulting in large amount of blood between his skull and scalp. Neurosurgery team has been following and caring for him along with the many other doctors. Not only did Brooks suffer significant injury to his head, Brooks then developed a really high fever. Brooks had to get two spinal taps along with cultures of his blood. The NICU team is concerned and ruling out what could be meningitis. They are expecting to keep Brooks in the NICU until his original due date which was 6/24/25. Brooks will also need therapies including speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Right now, they are just taking it day by day.
We are hoping to raise this money to help with costs of his medical care, parents time off work, and also any other medical follow up appointments they are going to have.
Please share their story, anything helps.
Also, Please send them your thoughts and prayers.
