As a coach, I have the honor of mentoring incredible young athletes who inspire me every day with their dedication and heart. Today, I’m reaching out not just as a coach, but as part of a community rallying behind one of our own.

Aysan Paragas, a talented wide receiver and cornerback on our football team, and his family have been deeply affected by the recent Eaton fire. Their home was completely destroyed, leaving them with nothing but each other.

Aysan’s father, Kris, serves our country as an active-duty member of the Coast Guard, stationed in Washington, D.C., on a three-year assignment. He had just returned home to spend the New Year with his family and celebrate his daughter’s third birthday before having to leave again. His wife, May, is a nurse for the Department of Veterans Affairs, a role she balances with being a devoted mother, often single-handedly holding down the fort while Kris is away serving our country.

This resilient family has given so much to their community and country, and now they need our help. Losing a home is unimaginable, and rebuilding takes a village. Our goal is to raise funds to help the Paragas family with immediate needs such as clothing and basic essentials as they work to recover and support their lives.

Aysan is more than a player on our team—he’s family. And as his extended football family, it’s time for us to show up for him the way he always shows up on the field.
