Hello my name is Denise Goldberger. I am the aunt of Ashlie Anderson. For those who have been following Ashlie’s Journey, knows the health issues she has experienced since her diagnosis with Lupus. The Lupus has damaged her phrenic nerve, which controls her diaphragm - that helps her lungs to move and breathe. Ashlie went last year and had a repair done on this nerve. The right side of her phrenic nerve is working, but her left side still needed repair. Ashlie, her husband Zach, her mom, daughter, and sister went to New Jersey to have the left side repaired. Before the surgery even started, Ashlie went into stress-induced cardiomyopathy, which caused heart failure, her lungs to fill up with fluid, and kidney issues. Ashlie was on life-support for a few days and was able to come off life support after her heart has strengthened but, she is still experiencing issues with her kidneys and may have to stay another 2 to 3 weeks for care. Ashlie’s surgery was on July 11th and the financial strain has been absolutely devastating. We are asking for donations due to the extended stay that is needed for Ashlie in New Jersey so her family can support her emotional and medical needs - and not be further debilitated with the financial strain of this extended stay. Anything anyone can do will help and be deeply appreciated. While we ask for monetary help, we also request your prayers. We want her home and healing sooner rather than later. Thank you so much for reading and helping. God bless.
