There’s no way to say this lightly, so here it is straight: Ashley needs help right now.
She’s a mom who has been holding everything together on her own. Working multiple side jobs, doing whatever it takes to keep her home running, her kids supported, and food on the table. The kind of person who shows up for everyone else without hesitation. If you’ve been around the softball community, you’ve seen it firsthand. She runs the park, supports the kids, fills gaps no one else will, and never asks for anything in return.
That changed overnight.
Ashley was preparing to start a new job when a ruptured appendix and a serious liver infection put her in the hospital. Recovery isn’t optional or quick. The care she needs will have her in recovery for up to two months, minimum. No lifting. No physical work. No pushing through it.
And that’s the problem.
All of her income came from hands-on, physically demanding work. That income is now gone. Completely. But the responsibilities didn’t pause. Mortgage. Utilities. Groceries. Gas. Kids’ schedules. Life keeps moving whether she can or not.
On top of that, Ashley does not have medical insurance. The hospital stay, treatment, and ongoing care are already creating a growing stack of medical bills that she now has to face without any income coming in.
She’s managing this on her own while caring for her kids, including Ani who needs a little extra support day to day, plus Tinsley and Ridge who are fully involved in their activities. She’s also trying to stay present for a daughter preparing for a wedding this fall. This is a full load even when you’re healthy. Right now, she’s not.
What she needs is simple but critical: time to heal without falling behind.
The goal is to cover roughly two months of essential expenses and help offset medical costs so she can recover properly and avoid setbacks or complications that could make this even worse.
If Ashley has ever helped your kid, your team, your community, or someone you care about, this is the moment to return it.
Give what you can. Share this. Show up for her the way she’s always shown up for everyone else.
Let’s take one major weight off her shoulders so she can focus on getting back on her feet.
