Rally for Amber: Support an Educator and Mother of 4

Amber is an incredible mother, wife, and dedicated special education instructional assistant for Bryan ISD. Her husband, JW, has congenital heart failure and was recently admitted to the ICU in Houston after suffering seizures. Doctors have since discovered an infection in his blood, a lung infection, and memory loss caused by the seizures. He is expected to remain hospitalized for at least 15 days. While facing this unimaginable stress, Amber is doing everything she can to provide for their four children—all of whom are students in Bryan ISD—balance work, and make the long trips to be by her husband’s side, all with extremely limited financial resources and an unreliable vehicle.

At Mitchell Elementary, Amber is known for sensing a need and showing up to meet it before anyone even has to ask. She goes above and beyond to support students and teachers, always giving her time and energy to those around her. Now, it’s our turn to rally around Amber. We are asking for support to help ease the burden of travel expenses, maintenance costs on her car, medical costs, and daily necessities so she can focus on what matters most—her family.
