Rally for Alysha's Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Monica and I am fundraising on behalf of my dear friend Alysha. As many of you may know, Alysha recently was in an accident while performing (or more accurately, before performing) and broke her foot as well as sprained her ankle. Like the absolute champion she is, she continued the show with full mastery not showing for one moment the pain she was in. As her scene partner that night I am blown away by the work she put in and her drive to continue with her gorgeous performance no matter what had happened. After all, the show must go on. It was only after exiting the stage and the come down of the adrenaline that she discovered the injury was worse than hoped.

Alysha broke a bone into her foot in 3 pieces, which required surgery. And now comes some of the other unfortunate bits of this story. Alysha lives on the 4th floor of a building with no elevator, making keeping the weight off of her foot that much harder and potentially increased the need for the surgery that took place March 19th. She had also just started a new job at the time of the injury and did not have health benefits yet, meaning she had to sign up for the very expensive Cobra system to alleviate some of the costs.

While Alysha now has insurance, there were still a considerable amount of costs that she has had to pay for out of pocket. She has so far paid $3,074.49 in out of pocket costs, with a pending balance of $1717 and a few other costs TBD. Alysha is now having to wear a boot post surgery and is very limited on what she is able to do in a day given the discomfort (and said lack of elevator). While we all at times suffer for our art, I am truly hoping the community can come together and rally behind her. Alysha is the dreamboat that shows up to our shows with flowers, drops loving messages to folks in need of a pick me up, and is ride or die for our lovely Seattle theater community. Let's show her some love and help alleviate the costs of this unfortunate accident.
