Rally for Abuelita!

Donation protected
Hi my name is Linda Feldman and I have been working in the immigration field for the past two years and a half.  Immigration just recently became a political hot topic, but is we ignore the politics we realize that immigration is really about humanity.

I was born and raised in San Diego, but I come from a proud immigrant family.

I work as a Department of Justice Accredited representative and I represent detained and non detained immigrants in immigrant court.  I would like to invite you to take a minute and read the story of one of my current clients.

A sweet abuelita, Samantha, fled from Mexico in April 2018 with her partner, daughter and orphaned grandchildren.

In July 2017, her youngest daughter was kidnapped with her two children.  While trying to escape her daughter was killed.  Although the grandchildren survived, it was a traumatic experience for them.  Especially the youngest granddaughter, who was raped by the kidnappers when she was only 2 years old.

Samantha and her partner pressed charges against the kidnappers in the name of justice for their deceased daughter and traumatized grandchildren.

Two months after they pressed charges they started getting threats and pressure to withdraw the charges.  Finally, in the beginning of April they were told that if they didn't withdraw the charges that they would all get killed like animals.

The sweet abuelita brought her family to the United States seeking asylum and hoping to move on from their past.  While at the border she was separated from her family and is now being detained.

She was granted bond at $5,000.00 but does not have the money to pay for that.  Currently the only reason she is still being detained because of lack of funds.

I know during this crazy time we can feel powerless but any donations will directly help this family. Even if you aren't in a position to donate, sharing this post will help!

Every penny raised will be used and paid directly to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) so this abuelita can be finally released.  Any funds received after we have raised her money will be kept in a bond fund to help other detained immigrations who also need to be released from the detention center.

Lets rally for this abuela and reunite her with her family!
