Please help me in raising funds for an employee that is truly struggling. She is a young single mother trying to get on her feet. She is completely on her own. When I hired her for our daycare, my heart went out to her, as I know the difficulties of raising children, trying to work full-time, and being completely on your own all too well. She is really trying to get ahead but continues to come upon challenge after challenge. She was finally able to secure a one-bedroom apartment for her and her daughter and purchase her own car. Those of us that know just how difficult that is to do alone, know.
This morning, I received a call from her to let me know that her car, which she just purchased, was giving her problems and the engine wouldn't turn over. I told her to keep me updated. A few minutes later, I received another call from her, crying that someone in her new neighborhood had cut out her catalytic converter.
She is new to the area, and they targeted her. It's just heartbreaking. Every corner she turns, every page she turns, she is facing horrific obstacles. I know these days too. It feels like the universe is against you, and you feel like you have run out of options.
She is a fighter! She is so strong. One thing that I have learned in the dark times, even though it is difficult to ask for help, asking for help is showing that you are determined to not give up! That after we have exhausted all options, it is okay to ask for help! It is one of the most challenging things we do as single moms because we get so burnt out by having to do everything ourselves, and we have learned to not depend on others. It's a very humbling experience to go through.
I want to help this beautiful heart! She is doing everything in her power to pull herself out of a dark moment in her life. If anyone deserves our help, it's her!
Please help me in raising funds for her and her daughter, so that she can come to work and her daughter can come to daycare.
