On Thursday, January 29th, my sister was in a life-changing accident on I-91 North while heading to her job at Yankee Candle. Her small Volkswagen collided with a tractor-trailer, leaving her with multiple injuries, including a broken hip and pelvis, a broken wrist, and some pretty bad facial lacerations.

While at the hospital, she has received several blood transfusions and surgeries and is still waiting for more surgeries that have been postponed due to a collapsed lung. She is in pain. She is struggling, but she will certainly make it through.

At this time, she is asking for any and all help available from her family, many friends, and coworkers as her recovery is expected to be extensive and long. She is a single mother and is worried about losing her apartment and being unable to pay bills and provide for herself and her son while she is out of work recovering.
