On 06/14, I woke up normally. By 9 am, I was transported by ambulance for a seizure, and doctors discovered I had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 31. I had an emergency craniotomy on my right temporal lobe on 6/17. They weren’t sure what they would find, and the ideas they told me before surgery were a tumor or infection. They also saw previous dried blood in my brain. Thankfully, when they went in, they found a noncancerous mass of AVM and removed about an inch of tangled blood vessels. Surgery was successful, and they were able to remove everything they could see. I’ve been told I’m quite an interesting case, and I am extremely hopeful about my recovery.
