A couple weeks back, I posted a message about losing a friend unexpectedly. This guy and I were close growing up. My kids know his name well as it’s in a lot of my adventurous childhood stories. As close as we once were, doesn’t hold a candle to the closeness of his immediate family left behind. Can you imagine your littlest one still trying to understand where Daddy is at? Well, that’s their reality. The local community is having a fundraiser for his wife and kids by selling chili and pies. From a distance, I’m hoping to rally friends to show them financial support as they try to put pieces together figuring out next steps. They are selling bowls of chile for $5 and auctioning the pies.
