Rally around the Greenman's
Donation protected
Friends and Family,
We’re reaching out on behalf of the Greenman Family who is walking through an incredibly intense season—one that calls for love, support, and a little extra help from all of us. Emilee and Matt are the devoted parents of sweet 9-month-old Obi and are joyfully anticipating the arrival of their second baby, due via planned C-section on May 5th.
Matt and Emilee were notified of Obi’s heart condition in utero. His team at U of M deemed that surgery wasn’t a necessity at birth (but would be something they would have to plan for in the future). However, as months progressed, the need for surgery became more and more apparent. After meeting with Obi’s cardiovascular team, they decided urgency was better than waiting. On April 25th, just 10 days before Emilee’s scheduled delivery, Obi will undergo heart surgery to repair a double aortic arch—a rare condition that’s been causing pressure on his trachea and esophagus. The surgery involves dividing and closing the smaller of the two aortic arches to help him breathe and eat more comfortably. It’s a serious procedure with a significant recovery period.
At the same time, Emilee will be recovering from her own surgery while caring for a newborn. Matt will be the rock (amongst family and friends) holding this family together—caring for his wife, his recovering infant son, and their brand-new baby. As you can imagine, this chapter will be physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming.
We are launching this GoFundMe to help lift some of the weight off their shoulders. Funds raised will go toward meals, medical costs, and other essentials as they navigate this challenging time. Every donation—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference in helping them focus on what matters most: healing and being together.
Let’s show Matt, Emilee, Obi, and their soon-to-arrive little one that they are not alone.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
