Help Sherry Heal — Let’s Rally Around One of Our Own
On August 10th, our dear friend Sherry’s life changed forever. She was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident when an SUV struck her, leaving her with multiple life-altering injuries. She was airlifted to EIRMC, where she spent nearly two weeks fighting through unimaginable pain and uncertainty.
Sherry’s right leg was severely damaged — her femur shattered in several places, along with multiple other breaks. She also nearly lost the top part two fingers. Thankfully, surgeons were able to save her fingers, and with months of physical therapy ahead, we’re hopeful she’ll regain full function. But her leg remains a serious concern. Despite intensive surgery involving plates and screws, her femur has shown almost no healing. Her doctors will reassess soon to determine if more intervention is needed.
Sherry has always been a fighter. Many of you know her as the heart and soul behind her beloved salon — a place filled with laughter, warmth, and community. But since the accident, she hasn’t been able to work. Her salon isn’t just her passion — it’s her livelihood.
While insurance may eventually cover medical expenses, it won’t touch the mountain of other costs: housing, utilities, groceries, and everyday living. She faces a long, difficult road ahead, and she shouldn’t have to walk it alone.
This is our chance to show Sherry the same love and care she’s shown our community for years. Let’s lift some of this burden from her shoulders so she can focus on healing.
