Rally Around Ryan Bedard

Ryan is a beloved brother, son, husband and friend — someone known for his loyalty, warmth, and unshakable sense of humor. Right now, he’s in the fight of his life against stage 4 sarcoma that has aggressively spread to his lungs.

In recent weeks, Ryan’s condition became critical. After a long stay in the hospital with severe pneumonia and dangerously low oxygen levels, our family was bracing for the worst. But in true Ryan fashion, he fought hard — and he’s starting to improve.

Doctors now believe he may be turning a corner. His oxygen levels are stabilizing. His pneumonia is clearing. And his body is showing signs of strength we weren’t sure he still had.

With this flicker of hope, we’re now considering another round of chemotherapy. But we also know the road ahead will be long, difficult, and filled with challenges — emotionally, physically, and financially.

While most of Ryan’s medical care is thankfully covered by insurance, there are many essential costs that are not:

• Travel, food, and accommodation for family members who’ve had to step away from work to be by his side

• Nutritional support and therapies to help him rebuild strength

• Day-to-day essentials that help maintain his quality of life

We’re reaching out with this fundraiser to ask — if you’re able — for support. Every contribution, no matter how small, goes directly to easing the financial strain on Ryan and our family. The donations will be sent to the beneficiary Julia Thompson (and Todd Bedard), Ryan’s parents, who have taken on the extra financial responsibilities that have come along with his diagnosis and will be used accordingly for Ryan’s care.
