Help Support a Devoted Mom Facing Melanoma Cancer Diagnosis
It’s hard to put into words how quickly life can change. In just a matter of weeks, our beloved cousin, Mary (Giordano) Hall’s world was turned upside down.
On *January 29, Mary went to the dermatologist to check on what seemed like a routine spot on her arm. By *February 5, she was diagnosed with melanoma. She underwent surgery on *February 27, to remove the spot on her arm along with several lymph nodes, one of which was suspicious on scans. While she was still recovering, another devastating blow came — on *March 26, after PET scan showed a potential growth in her breast, the results came back that the melanoma has in fact spread and she was officially diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma.
She is only 44 years old and the heart of her family.
She is a devoted mom to three incredible kids — Emmy (16), Violet (14), and Wade (7) who is on the autism spectrum and nonverbal. She is also a loving stepmom with a one-year-old grandson, Kayson, who brings so much light to their lives.
As you can imagine, this has been overwhelming — emotionally, physically, and financially.
Her treatment plan is intense:
• Double immunotherapy for 2–4 months
• Followed by surgery to remove the breast cancer
Then single immunotherapy for up to 2 years
Because of this, she has had to step away from her part-time job. Her husband, Toby, works hard to support the family but travels frequently, leaving her as the primary caregiver at home — especially for Wade, who requires additional support.
To make things even more challenging, her parents live in California, and their closest family is still three hours away. Their daily support system is limited, and the weight of managing treatments, parenting, and household responsibilities is immense.
We are asking for help to ease some of the burdens during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward:
• Medical expenses and treatments
• Lost income
• Meals and day-to-day living support
• Travel and care needs during treatment
If you are not able to give financially, sharing this page and keeping their family in your thoughts and prayers means more than you know. We truly believe in the power of prayer and are praying for complete healing.
Thank you for rallying around this strong, loving mom and her family when they need it most.
We give God all the praise and glory and are grateful that, though the melanoma has metastasized, her brain scan was clear.
“Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
For the Lord God is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2
