Last night, on October 29, Denver McQuary was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in multiple injuries. He was airlifted to UMMC and admitted to the Surgical ICU with a fractured neck, fractured pelvis, and dislocated hip.
Thankfully, Denver is awake and alert, but he has a long road ahead of him. He will require surgery, continued medical care, and rehabilitation as he begins the process of recovering from these injuries.
Baseball has always been a big part of Denver's life. He played baseball at Mississippi State and continues to give back to the game as a coach with the MS Yankees, where he has become an important part of the organization and the lives of the kids he coaches.
We are setting up this fundraiser to help Denver and his family during a time they never expected to face. Between medical expenses, time away from work, and the many unexpected costs that come with an accident like this, we hope to help relieve some of the financial stress so his family can focus on being by his side.
Denver is a father to a baby girl. Our hope is to help him get through this difficult time and back home with his family.
He has spent so much time showing up for our Yankees, now it's our turn to show up for him.
Any amount is appreciated, and if you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean so much.
Most importantly, please continue to keep Denver and his family in your prayers. We are so thankful he is here, and we are praying for a successful surgery and a full recovery.
