Hello, my name is Laura, and I’m asking our friends, family, and community to rally around my sister, Amy Gross, a local small business owner, and mother of two, during one of the most difficult seasons of her life.

Many people may not realize that Amy has spent much of her life courageously battling numerous complex medical conditions, including Reflex Neurovascular Dystrophy (RND), Lyme disease, POTS, hEDS, hypoglycemia, PTSD, Hashimoto’s disease, and anemia-driven hives — just to name some of the most debilitating. Despite these constant and exhausting challenges, Amy continues to show up every single day as a devoted mother and provider for her family, working four jobs to keep everything afloat.

Over the past several years, mounting and unexpected medical expenses have taken an enormous toll. This year alone has brought cancer treatment, GI procedures, iron infusions, and the costs associated with training a service dog to support her medical needs to name a few. These essential treatments and supports have completely drained her savings and left her facing overwhelming debt. The financial stress is not only suffocating — it is actively worsening her health.

In the coming months, Amy will require additional medical procedures to help her remain stable enough to continue working and caring for her children. She is doing everything within her power to keep moving forward, but the weight of the financial burden has become too much to carry alone.
