My friend and her family are going through an unimaginable crisis.
Her husband has been given a devastating prognosis—he has less than a month to live, as he is now in the final stage of heart failure.
During a recent surgery to implant a device to support his heart, he suffered a massive stroke, and doctors discovered multiple blood clots in his brain. Although emergency surgery was performed, his brain is now swelling.
The stroke left him with paralysis on the right side of his body, global aphasia (he is unable to speak or understand language), and loss of vision in his right eye. If he survives this ordeal, he will likely be permanently disabled for life.
To make things even harder, they are also raising a 12-year-old autistic, nonverbal son who needs full-time care and support.
Their world has been turned upside down.
When someone you love is facing a terminal illness, every moment becomes sacred. But alongside the emotional pain comes an overwhelming financial burden—hospital stays, emergency procedures, medications, time off work, and the daily cost of living have quickly become too much to bear alone.
This family is navigating the unthinkable—with strength, grace, and love. They’re spending every moment by his side, caring for their son, and making heartbreaking decisions day by day. But they can’t do this alone.
This is when community matters most.
If you feel moved to help, please consider:

Let’s show them they’re not alone. Together, we can ease their burden and bring a little light into their darkest days.
If you’re able to help—even just a little—please do. Every donation is more than money. It’s a message that says: you’re not alone
