Support Ral Patrick’s Fight with Glioblastoma: Grade 4 Brain Cancer
After recently experiencing a seizure while working at his family business, Ral Patrick underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor. The tumor was identified as grade IV glioblastoma, an aggressive cancer that attacks the brain. Ral is healing from this surgery and will soon begin radiation and chemotherapy.
Ral personifies family. He and his wife, Lisa, have four precious children: Connor (23), Colin (20), Anna (15) and Noah (10). Ral and Lisa grew up in Covington and have raised their family here. Their shared love for one another and their family “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things.”
They are active within their church parish, St. Peter Catholic Church, and have been eager and engaged supporters to many charitable causes in the community---from Covington High School, Ral’s alma mater, to their children’s elementary and high schools and many other local causes. Ral is always willing to provide assistance and his gentle nature ensures that this assistance is done with kindness, respect and humility.
While Lisa and Ral focus on his health and recovery, their eldest son, Connor, has stepped in to lead their multi-generational, family business, Pat’s Seafood. They will face significant financial challenges associated with Ral’s care and with their temporary absence from the business. These challenges will include medical treatment costs, travel expenses, and living expenses.
