Rakesh's Medical Treatment

Family, Friends and Well Wishers,
We are trying to raise funds for Rakesh's cancer treatment, which came as a complete shock to us. Everything happened in couple of days with no time to process feelings, emotions or options.
Rakesh and Mallikarjun Rakem are the beneficiaries of this campaign. Rakesh’s Elder brother is Mallikarjun. We will use the fund for Rakesh Rakem's medications, ICU and Chemotherapy treatments.
It all started a few weeks ago with a cough, it continued to persist and Rakesh began feeling weak and tired after any physical exertion. Raki is always in high spirits, full of life and a positive outlook on life. He always helped those around him in any way possible.
When he went to the doctor’s office, tests such as: CT of chest, abdomen and pelvis, liver biopsy, echo cardiogram and endoscopy were performed. The diagnostic showed a malignant tumor which was later identified as Cancer (Esophageal adenocarcinoma).
They gave us an estimated life time of six to twelve months with higher life expectancy undergoing chemo therapy. He is undergoing treatment as we put up this GoFundMe page. We wish we could do something rather than wipe our tears and be scared for him.
We decided to put this page as the road ahead is going to be exceedingly difficult for Rakesh and his family. He cannot afford all of the costs he is about to accrue. Life hasn't been easy for (32 years old) Rakesh’s family, who came to the USA six months back with his wife and 2 year old daughter. His insurance coverage is bare minimum which would not accommodate most of the medical expenses.
We wish to see Rakesh’s life lived to the fullest, so any amount of contribution will help. Please donate any amount possible by August 19, 2018 for our contributions to be most meaningful.
