Hey, my name is Rakeem Hicks. I am raising funds because my house flooded unexpectedly on January 29, 2026 due to a main pipeline connected to the sprinkler system that burst from being frozen. This set off every sprinkler in my apartment. Everything was soaking wet. I tried to save what I could.

I was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia at birth, so unfortunately, when this happened, I was in the hospital. I have my own side business where I make shirts and other apparel. A lot of my stuff was damaged, such as my workstation, my bed, bedroom set, my clothes, electronics, and furniture. Along with my aide, who helps with my diagnosis, lost some of his clothes and personal items.

I'm seeking help from anyone. No donation is too small or too big. This will help lift the burden of me having to start all over. I'm not really able to work because of my sickness, but I do have a part-time job while on disability. I've worked so hard through the years to get everything in my apartment.
