Funeral and travel expenses
Tonight my beloved nanny Evangeline Running passed away from complications of COVID.
Words cannot express the love I have for my Aunty whom I loved as my mother. About 25 years ago my mother, Angeline Running suffered a massive stroke that nearly killed her and landed her in the hospital for months. Her twin sister stepped up and help raise us. She moved in with us during that time. She got a job, volunteered at the local church, cooked, bathed, nurtured, took us to school, and did everything else under the sun to ensure her 7 nephews and nieces where cared for while my mom, her twin sister was in the hospital. The love she showed us was unwavering.
Nanny had a heart of gold when it came to her two daughters Paula Anne Running-Tolbert (39), Wicahpi ‘Star’ Running and her and her 5 grandchildren Tokala (16) Mayana (13) Kaitlyn (9) Mato (8) Braxton (7). Nanny didn’t come from money, however she would graciously give her last penny to help her family and her grand babies. Her grandkids were the her light in her eyes, she always talked about them and how much she loved them. Her living room was a collage of pictures displaying her love for her daughters and grand kids!
Currently both of her daughters and their families reside in Louisville Kentucky and are in need of assistance for funeral expenses and travel. I’m humbly asking my family and friends for assistance to help my cousins and their family home so they can lay their mother to rest. The money will go to the wake and funeral expenses, tombstone, and travel for their families.
