I wanted to take a moment to share an important update about Rajat’s health, so you’re aware of what he’s navigating and why the support we’re offering through the GoFundMe truly matters.

Rajat has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called high-grade metastatic mucoepidermoid carcinoma, which has spread to multiple organs. Because the cancer is so rare, there is no established treatment pathway in the healthcare system for his case. His oncologist is recommending a specific course of immunotherapy that could help control the disease, but unfortunately, this treatment is not covered, and must be paid for entirely out of pocket.

Each immunotherapy dose costs approximately $6,000–$8,000, and Rajat may need multiple doses over the coming months. He’s explored options abroad, including treatment in India, where overall costs are lower, but since everything there would need to be paid upfront, continuing treatment in Canada is still the more financially practical option—especially with parts of his care covered here.

Rajat is doing everything he can to manage these mounting expenses with help from family and close friends, but it’s a significant financial burden on top of an already difficult situation.
