Rajah’s Emergency Care
Hey everyone. For those who know me, you know that I don’t like to ask for money and I would much rather work for my earnings. This is currently my last resort. For the last couple of weeks I have been making flan non stop trying to raise enough money to cover all her vet bills. I do not have a real job as I was focusing on my college courses over the summer and both my advisors and therapists told me to take it easy since I'm severely struggling with my mental health. Aside from not having a steady income, I did have money saved up on the side for regular vet visits and vaccines etc. I just was not expecting something like this to happen. Her first vet visit alone was $800 and this did not include the payment just to book an appointment ($100) and her medications. The vet did mention if she didn’t get better that the bills are only going to get higher and higher as they have to run multiple other tests to find out what is wrong. I’ve done what I can to raise this money on my own but I’m in desperate need of help now. She is my baby and I just want her to get better. She brings my family so much joy and I cannot imagine my life without her. If you’re in the Tacoma area and would rather order a flan than donate money please contact me directly on facebook Isabella Bosteder | Facebook and we can set that up.
I will be sharing everything I post on facebook about this situation.
Emergency
[9/16] I just took my Great Pyrenees puppy (6 months) to the vet and we still have no idea what is wrong with her. Over the last week I noticed she started eating less and less. I thought she might just have a stomach ache but last night she didn’t eat any of her food. I even gave her some of her favorite treats/foods and she wouldn’t even smell it. I kept an eye on her throughout the night and when I woke up this morning I was in full panic. She didn’t respond to any sounds or even her name. In order to wake her up I had to physically shake her. I called every vet around my area and I found one who could take her in today. Vet Results: Her red blood cells are low but her white cells are normal, she has a 104° Fever, she is very skinny, she’s dehydrated, she is coughing and gagging, we found out she is anemic, has mucus coming out of her nose and she is so very weak. They took a stool sample but we won’t get results until Monday.
[9/18] She is still not eating, she has been sleeping the whole time, her cough Is getting worse, her eyes are bloodshot red and I don’t know how to help her. The vet said her symptoms are all over the place and she isn’t quite sure what is causing it or how to start treating her. My heart breaks seeing her so ill
[9/19] The vet called and said they found a parasite called coccidia in her stool sample. They gave her medication called Albon. She won’t eat any of her dry food but she will eat human food (chicken broth, tortillas, eggs, chicken, rice etc) since she started drinking water on her own we make sure to add little to no salt to her food. It’s not the healthiest diet she’s on right now but she is finally eating and even though it’s small amounts at a time I’m happy she has something in her stomach. She’s still taking her other medication but now her nose is super runny and it has a tint of red to it along with this she has moments where she vomits her food. I just wish she was feeling better already
[9/25] Just as I thought she was getting better things began to get worse. She is refusing to eat all foods again, she isn’t drinking water, her eyes are bloodshot red and she cannot hold her body up without trembling. I have scheduled an appointment for her on Tuesday and I’m hoping they can figure out what is wrong.
Thank you for taking the time to read through all this and I am so grateful for every donation. Every dollar helps get Rajah the treatment she needs.
